Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

  We had a great turn out for Team P.A.M.!  Thanks to all who walked and “supported” us.

Real Living All Florida Realty is participating in the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk on Saturday, October 15, 2011.   This is a noncompetitive, 3.2 mile walk that celebrates breast cancer survivors and raises funds to save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and fighting back.

The All Florida team name is PAM which stands for Positive Agents for Mammograms in memory of Pam Bessette, co founder of All Florida Realty Services.  Mary Daniels of the Daytona Beach branch office won a $50 gift card for coming up with the winning name after agents from all six Real Living All Florida Realty offices had a chance to name the team.

The American Cancer Society encourages women to “Put On Your Pink Bra” and join in the fun.  The pink bra is an empowering symbol of how personal the fight against breast cancer is.  During the Making Strides event a sea of participants in pink bras will join together to take up arms against the disease. (Don’t hesitate to bring the kids – bras will be over a shirt.)

The walk starts at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center on US 1 and Walton Road in Port St. Lucie.  Registration begins as 7:30 am and the walk starts at 9 am.  It should be fun to watch even if you can’t walk!  Wear your pink bra and enjoy all the festivities.
